Parque da Cidade- Brasilia

After we adventured to the Convention Center for the Art Fair, we took a trip to the Parque da Cidade Sarah Kubitschek. It is a very expansive park on the map, but different from the National Park.

We saw the Ferris wheel from the distance and it had caught our eyes. We began walking in that direction to explore.

The park has beautiful walking and biking paths that are well labeled. There are also kiosks and small restaurants along the side of the walking paths.

We went on a Saturday and it was crowded with people enjoying the sunny morning.

The map also showed an amusement park, but we weren't sure how big of a spot it actually was. It was about 5-10 reais per ride, and we opted out. There were some rather large rides there though, for being in a park.

Our next goal was to find the lake!

As we walked around it, we found a huge clump of ducks!

There was a mother and son who asked me, in English, if I would like some of the duck food. The ducks were really hesitant at first, but one of them finally came up to me.

Rogerio caught a video of me being a duck whisperer.

Shortly after I fed the ducks, it began to downpour! We wanted to go more interior into the park, but we had to head towards the parking lot and call an uber to get home.
